You won't want to put this one down!
The author has a fantastic ability to get inside the character's heads and communicate their emotions and motivations. You can feel what the characters feel, and the plot twists and turns will have you staying up way too late. You won't want to put it down!
This is the third book in Ms. Ainsworthe's Forbidden Series and in my opinion, the best of the set. The writing is crisper. The plot more subtle. The intrigue more devious. It's a genuine page turner. You just can't let it go. If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, wait till you read this one. You'll love it!

kept me on my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I loved the plot. And I Especially loved the story lines of Cindy with Jean-Claude and his dad. And Cindy with Stuart and Taylor and Larry and Joe, Frederie and of course Amelia, and naturally I could not stand Clive the cad as I would like to call him. And you can tell Jean- Claude was also a cad. I loved the way it ended..Cynthia it is a wonderful book and very well written. And know I am looking forward to reading your next book 4 "DANGEROUS REACH as soon as it is available !!!!
What a great story. I found Cynthia B Ainsworthe's Forbidden Footsteps for a great price and swooped it up. I've only read a few romance novels but this one was a delight. It was hot and had plenty of sexual tension as Cindy Hasting, leaving an old life behind to start a new one, begins a romantic and lustful relationship with French rocker Jean-Claude Le Grand who likes to play head games. There are plenty of adult situations as Cindy ventures into Paris's dark underworld. I hope author Cynthia B Aisworthe writes more like this. I highly recommend to those looking for a lusty romance novel.
I just finished Forbidden Footsteps, the third book in Cynthia B. Ainsworthe’s Forbidden Series. I was expecting a little heat, steam, suspense, but I wasn’t really prepared to leave the gloom of the flooded Midwest and go to Paris! I also wasn’t expecting to eat my way through the story, all delicious and calorie-free, because Ms. Ainsworthe does not neglect the reader’s palate!
It’s an atmospheric piece Shimmering waves soothed the dark and sandy beach as couples walked in the moonlight with shoes in hand. Nice, clean descriptions are Ms. Ainsworthe’s forte.

Cindy Hastings visits Paris with her mother and step-father after a disastrous marriage. Hoping to heal and find new love, she decides to begin a relationship with a French singer, Jean-Claude LeGrand. Not as popular as his singer father but about to enter the American market, Jean-Claude has no shortage of women at this beck and call. And when Cindy's calls, he takes her to live with him at his apartment.
Cindy soon finds out that Jean-Claude's background isn't squeaky clean. His sexual tastes are a bit much for her. Fifty Shades too much. At one point, she's afraid that he was drugging her with cough medicine. She roams Paris when he's supposedly at work and finds an English bookshop. She becomes friends with the owner, Stuart Dumont. He falls for her right away and shows her Paris. They spend more and more time together.
Meanwhile, Jean-Claude owes money. He tries to video Cindy but he fails each time. He is threatened but his father refuses to give him any more money. They threaten to hurt his loved ones.
As events spin out of control, Cindy grows up and finally takes responsibility for her actions. Does she leave Jean-Claude for Stuart? You will have to read the book to find out.
