Katherine Spencer is an up-and-coming architect in New York City. Her professional life is on the fast-track. Her personal life is a shambles. Katherine compares every man she ever meets to Nick Bancroft, the billionaire’s son who broke her heart one summer long ago. Now, twelve years later he’s suddenly reappeared, asking her to design a house at the cove where they shared their first kiss. Is he looking for an architect, or something more? And should she forgive him?

"No Cure for the Broken Hearted" is a sweet contemporary romance about the heartache that comes with first love.

No Cure for the Broken Hearted eBook Kenneth Rosenberg

While the story was enjoyable and well written, Katherine annoyed me. At 28 she was the architect on major projects both nationally and internationally, she was on track to be a partner, she's able to leave her life in New York and travel to Asia and Africa to find Nick and stay for an extended period (and pay for it), and of course beautiful. Whine, whine, whine. I don't fault that she still had feelings for Nick but why would you go to the wedding of the man you're still in love with and design his house. Just say no. There wasn't enough time we spent with Katherine and Nick as adults to see that they still believed in the same things and would work as an adult couple. The memory of their relationship as teenagers while may be a foundation of an adult relationship doesn't mean it would work. Shouldn't we change between 16 and 28. I found their inability to connect when they went back to New York after that fateful summer unbelievable. Sixteen years ago Nick would have had a cell phone he could have used. He went to her house on Christmas break why didn't he wait for her to come home?

No Cure for the Broken Hearted eBook Kenneth Rosenberg Reviews

The main character seemed too pathetic in the beginning, that's the only real issue I have with this book. I liked the story and the way it played out (even though I guessed a lot of it in advance), if you can get past the "poor me I'm single and empty my life hurts" beginning then it's a fun easy read. )
NOT THE BEST BOOK SO HAPPY IT WAS FREE. The misunderstanding lasted too long in my book, and the romance where w a s it!!!!!!
I ordered this on my kindle on Saturday afternoon and finished it Sunday night because I just couldn't put it down. Luckily it was the start of my vacation so I had the time to do this. But I told all my girlfriends about it and now they want to read it too. It's just a great book. I love that you can't tell from the beginning how it's going to play out. There were even moments when I thought "oh they are going to do this..." And nope that's not what happened at all. I absolutely loved it!
I was a little leary when I purchased this for my kindle. A romance novel written by a man? I looked at it several times before I decided to buy it. I was more than pleasantly surprised. As with all romance novels we know how they are going to end - it is the road there that makes or breaks a book. I enjoyed this book. I do not agree that Katherine was a wimp or spineless. She did go out of her comfort zone a lot. I recommend this book. It is completely clean - no bodice ripping here.
4.5/5.0 but considering this is a debut in romance, totally worth the bump!

This story catches the reader from the first page. A successful woman who never completely got over her first (teenage) love is relatable to almost every woman on the planet. The question of "what would I do if that crush suddenly appeared at my door?" is not only intriguing but just plain fun to contemplate as one follows Katherine, the heroine, down that road. Given the fact that her summer crush was also a billionaire's son just makes it that much juicier! As the couple wind their way through all the hurt, insecurities and obstacles and sort out what that long lost love means, we get to participate in a truly enjoyable ride!

My only hesitations were in the believability of a highly successful architect who had worked her way up the corporate ladder to the point of wide recognition being so wishy-washy and the somewhat cliche ending. Otherwise, 5 star all the way. Watch your back, Nicholas Sparks!

*And it's CLEAN!!!*
I read this book after reading the reviews and was so surprised at the reviews it received. I so enjoyed the book, the story, the message and the ending. This was my first read by this author so was relying on reviews to. Guide me. Some reviews left me wondering was I wasting my time but one encouraged me enough to start and am I glad I did. Excellent read, Excellent storyteller, great job Mr Rsenberg.
So, I found this book on my good reads clean romance group. It sounded really good so I picked it up off ! I can tell you that it was worth the money. I was not disappointed at all. I devoured this book in a day! It was a fast paced romance that I totally enjoyed and will read again. I think I have found a new author! Kenneth does a great job developing the characters and the growing relationship with Katherine and Nick. This book does contain a little bit of swearing and a few typos. Over all I recommend this book and suggest you take the plunge and buy this book. This is a fantastic love story. I look forward to reading more from Kenneth Rosenberg.
